PlayBook Corner Rolls 1 - 5 analyzed, actual rolls can be viewed below Or should what be weak one? Actually - it's been an interesting series with a wide assortment of plays. This is a great opportunity to compare strategies - with all the benefits of 20/20 hindsight. In my pre-game observation I mentioned that everyone should CHART the table by looking at what rolled previously. Sixes and eights have been showing regularly - so the best opening bet I saw was KUVO's sixes and eights working on the come out - with a pass line bet hedge. That is exactly how I would have played it. Dice Doc opted for a line bet with a long shot WORLD hedge - one of my favorites if you're pre-setting the straight sixes. And Shooter - that $300 lay on the nine hedge bet was a thing of beauty. VERY creative. Now, the one wager that baffled me - as a charter - was the Gator's outside number bet. Again, I'm looking to follow a trend - and this table is trending toward the inside. What did we get next? The nine - which can be inside or outside - depending on how you call it. But NOBODY jumped on the "fives follow nines" myth. Ladies and Gents - there is a REASON for all of those old myths. They are founded in truth. And sure enough, there it was - the five. The third roll after the point was established was a very dangerous time. I expected the player either to make his pass, follow the five with a horn number, or seven out. As it turns out - his pass was made and the right way bettors scored. At that point the seven was due - and Dice Doc scored big with that ballsy lay action. I would NEVER lay BOTH the four AND the ten - but it worked for her so she's the hero of the hour. What's coming next? Oh, but I'm not supposed to guess - it might influence the players. But what the heck. I'd look for a repeat on the seven, the six or eight, or a horn number. Which would make me consider the WORLD bet once again - plus the six and eight working with a line bet hedge. But don't tell the players. I wouldn't want to influence their thinking . .
