"Crapy" Message Board Craps Game!

Is this your first time here? If so please read the following so you will understand the format of this game.

.
Below you are going to witness the first and only "Best of the Best" real time (with a 24 hr. delay)  Message Board fun Craps game on the web! Each Tournament will last for 30 rolls. Each player makes a bet on the special message board for the next day's roll of the dice. The special feature that makes this game fun to play and watch is that each player is required to give a reason for the bets they are making. This gives you the unique opportunity to be witness to the individual strategy used. A great learning tool!
Because there are only up to 5 players per Tournament, only the top 2 players will be automatically invited to play in the next Tournament from now on. That leaves 3 spots that will be open where you will have a chance to become a player. At any time just e-mail me with your desire to play. You will be put on a list.
Depending on the number of "want-to-be" players will determine if a roll-off will be needed. If more that 3 request a place on the betting board - a one roll roll-off (the three top money winners) will determine the group of players. I encourage you to get a pen and paper and play along! Check out the tracking board so as to spot any trends, check out how other players are betting and mark your bet just as if you were one of the players below. By playing at home, you will be able to "get in the flow" of the game and when the sudden death roll-off comes up, you will be prepared!
If you desire to compete in this special qualifying roll-off, all information will be given at  the end of each game.

Each player in actual tournament play will start out with a $2500
cyber bucks bankroll. Each player will post a bet on a special message board a day before the roll of dice. The skill of their play is recorded each day in special bet boxes located below. Each box includes:
    1) Current bankroll - standing bets- tray bankroll
    2)  Bets being made for that days roll.
    3) Dealers layout that tells if bet was won or lost
    4) Reason they made the bet for that day (for the first time
you can get into the head of a player in action!)
    5) Standing bets left for next day's roll
    6) Totals of win-loss.
The out come of each player will be stored on a history page that documents all the bets and corresponding dice rolls. This will prove to be a great teaching tool as this will be a record of actual play - not what they "would have done" but what they "did"!

To be the Best of the Best, a player can not be too conservative less he (she) falls behind. Nor can a player be too aggressive less he (she) gives up his (her) bankroll and be out of the competition! No, to be the Best of the Best, a player will have to know his "Crap"! The winner of each tournament will be crowned the undisputed "King of the AhCraps Hill"! - An honor worth more than MONEY!!!!
I will use the results of 41 consecutive rolls of the dice. They will be selected from either the well known WinCraps software or actual rolls from the Hollywood  Casino. The reason I will not say which one I will use is so there are no predetermined excuses for the sequence of numbers. All that will be important is that they will be gathered from a random source.
I will record tracking the rolls for the last 10 rolls prier to a 7-out come-out (shown in the pink area of auto tracking table). From that point, I will record the following 31 rolls to be used in actual AhCraps Tournament play.
Craps the "stick" Man shown below will call out the number of each roll and announce the roll coming up.
My intent is to place up to 5 players into an actual playing situation to discover who really is the "Best of the Best"! The only difference will be the fact that all players are using "Cyber Bucks". As a result, the motivation to leave the game early because of a predetermined win limit of real money will not exist. The motivation in this game is to be the "Best of the Best" and the love of the game! This will be achieve by acuminating as many Cyber Bucks as possible at the end of the 30th roll.
Will the winner be the conservative player that holds on with a modest win while the risk-takers bite the dust on a power play?  It will be worth watching the results of every roll to find out!
Now scroll down and witness the game in progress!

Special note: This game is the result of a suggestion from a great web pal. I believe I have the best viewers on the web! Thanks Ron. And thanks to my "crapy" web buddies that helped me get through the testing phase! Larry "AhCraps!"

Well, in the words of that great observer of gaming hits and misses - me - let me just say this. What the hell were you people thinking about??? There. Got that off my chest.

So I went to Vegas, had a fine old time with Irishsetter and Dice Coach, played a little follow the trend - taught a few folks how to set and bet the dice - and made it back with a few bonus bucks - only to discover this game had turned completely upside down. Last thing I recall saying was to bet the six and eight - which seemed like good advice at the time. We saw three eights in a row back there. But then Mr. Red showed up to play the spoiler. Not only did the seven kill a couple of major opportunities in the end - that no field five that rolled just prior to the last seven guaranteed there would be no last minute surprise unless it involved hopping the reds.

Dice Doc - good to see you drop by and get that last bet in. I thoughe we'd lost you there. But in the end - Gator was Gone, Shooter was shot, and it was Kudos to Kvuo.

Is there a lesson to be learned in this? Yeah, I think there is. In a real tournament there are times when you mimic the play of the leader - and there are times when you don't. If there's a possibility that mimicing the leader will result the third place player winning - then you SHOULD NOT DO IT. Instead - bet LOW when the leader bets BIG - and vice versa.

Alright - it's commercial time. First I want to say thanks to Larry for going through the hassles of putting this thing together. It's a great learning tool. You can thank him by supporting his product and the products offered by the sponsors on his links page. And if you're interested in a book on precision shooting or basic craps strategy - stop by my place at http://axispower.proboards12.com and take a gander at what I have to offer. Last of all - if you'd like to learn precision shooting in a hands-on environment - my next seminar is scheduled for Biloxi in February. I'm thinking it might be a nice Christmas gift for someone. You can find out about that on the proboards site as well.

    Cheers - heavy
